When Hamas terrorists invaded southern Israel last weekend from Gaza and murdered 1,300 Israeli citizens in a few hours, they did more than traumatise a nation.

They shattered many myths, assumptions, prejudices and so-called facts on the ground about the Israel-Palestine conflict, the festering wound that has bedevilled the Middle East and the world for generations.
