A Tesco spokesperson has told the Business Post that the IT outage that cause the app and tills across its stores to close has been resolved/

“We have fixed a software issue that temporarily impacted customers using our website and app this afternoon,” the spokesperson said. “We’re sorry for the inconvenience.”

Earlier today, Tesco faced an IT issue that caused its app to stop working for many users and tills close at its stores.

Responding to a user complaing on X of not being able to log into the app to access the popular Tesco Clubcard, the company apologised and said its systems were down.

“When they are up running you will be able to access your account,” the reply read.
