Sinn Féin registered more than €80,000 in political donations with the Standards in Public Office Commission (Sipo) in 2022, the most of all registered parties, while Fianna Fáil secured just €2,500 in handouts in the same period.

However, according to new data from the parliamentary ethics watchdog, all of the funds received by Sinn Féin were donated by TDs, senators and an activist within the party, as members dominated financial contributions across most parliamentary parties.
