Restaurateurs criticise crippling rates and regulatory burdens on sector
Body to resist compulsory calorie counts on menus for sole trader outlets
The Restaurants Association of Ireland has called on all political parties to commit to supporting the Irish tourism and restaurant sector.
The restaurant sector currently employs 72,000 people, or one in four tourism jobs, and contributes €2 billion to the Irish economy each year.
Chief Executive Adrian Cummins criticised the lack of action in regards to critical rates and reductions of regulatory burdens and commercial rates for restaurants and small businesses.
