20 per cent without broadband in rural areas - report
Slow internet affects business, say 70 per cent of rural small firms
New research has found that one in five people in rural Ireland still cannot get access to high-speed internet, despite broadband penetration rates as high as 90 per cent in some rural areas. The report, produced by Amárach for Vodafone Ireland, also finds that a quarter of Ireland’s rural population would be forced to move to urban locations if it was not for broadband.
