New research has found that one in five people in rural Ireland still cannot get access to high-speed internet, despite broadband penetration rates as high as 90 per cent in some rural areas. The report, produced by Amárach for Vodafone Ireland, also finds that a quarter of Ireland’s rural population would be forced to move to urban locations if it was not for broadband.
