Former taoiseach believes Xi Jinping is the only leader in the world who can induce Putin to enter peace talks
The war in Ukraine will only come to an end once the Chinese government chooses to intervene, former taoiseach Bertie Ahern has said.
Ahern said it was his belief that China was the only country with the power to bring Russian president Vladimir Putin to the negotiating table for meaningful peace talks, but said it would be very difficult to find a solution between both sides.
