New laws on self-driving cars to allow testing on Irish roads
Self-driving: currently there is no form of autonomous driving is allowed on Irish roads

Regulations on self-driving cars are to be introduced for the first time to the Oireachtas this autumn, but ordinary drivers will be waiting a while before they can use such technology to its full extent.

Currently, the law in Ireland does not allow for any form of autonomous driving on Irish roads, but the forthcoming Road Traffic (Miscellaneous Provisions) Bill will create a framework to allow for the testing of self-driving cars on Irish roads...
