Matt Cooper: If McManus’s cash hasn’t bought Limerick’s success, it surely helped

The Limerick team and management deserve credit for all that they have achieved, but it is reasonable to take a look at McManus’s influence on the county’s success

There are people in Limerick GAA circles sensitive to the idea that JP McManus’s money has bought success. It hasn’t, in itself, but it surely has to have helped. To mention money is not to devalue the achievements of this Limerick senior hurling team, possibly the finest to have ever played the game.
