Young scientist has his sights set on EU contest glory
The EU Competition for Young Scientists kicks off in Dublin later this month

Simon Meehan will be looking to follow in a line of Irish dominance at the event — where the 14 wins taken home by Irish entrants is second only to Germany among all entrants

The hopes of the nation rest on the shoulders of Simon Meehan, the winner of the 2018 BT Young Scientist and Technology exhibition (BTYSTE), as the Cork student represents Ireland at the EU Contest for Young Scientists (EUCYS) this month.
