The web has made comedy and satire more effective tools than ever before

One of my proudest internet moments involved an unplanned interaction with a website called Girls on a Map. The site asked users to upload geotagged pictures of “hot women”. I asked my internet friends to help me upload, instead, pictures of dressed-up dogs, historical figures, and anything else that would render the website useless.
