It’s the tech skills shortage, stupid

The west is facing a potentially catastrophic shortfall in skilled IT staff unless government-level action is taken, according to a leading executive at Indeed.

Raj Mukherjee, senior vice-president of product at Indeed, told The Sunday Business Post that projections for graduates over the next decade don’t come close to covering the number of tech staff required across all industries.

“By 2027 in the United States, there will be around 400,000 computer science graduates. ...
