MFDs evolve in a digital world

Most of us think of them just as printers or perhaps, since the jargon has caught on, as multi-function devices (MFDs). But a research paper from IDC Europe, sponsored by OKI, categorises them as ‘customisable digital transformation tools’. Highlighting the need for workflow improvements, IDC’s research found that 67 per cent of SMEs in Europe are making productivity a priority. In that context, smart MFDs offer many opportunities to improve and automate workflow.
