Both VR and AR are gearing up for their moment in the sun and, once it comes, the benefits to businesses will be significant, writes Quinton O’Reilly

Take a moment to picture this scene: you’re standing at the bottom of a giant skyscraper and an elevator opens up in front of you. You get in and go up, relaxing music plays as you take stock of your surroundings. There’s nothing unusual about this elevator except a sign saying ‘Please be considerate of any heart conditions’. Odd sign you think, but when the doors finally open, the warning makes sense.
