Tech has a women problem” – the headlines are unavoidable, both the positive and the negative. On the positive side there are initiatives to encourage girls to study so-called “stem” (science, technology, engineering and maths) subjects, or re-train women for new IT roles. In the negative column there are stories of boys’ clubs, glass ceilings and hostile working environments.
