Kitchen tech firm Drop raises $8m in funding

The Dublin-based kitchen technology business Drop has raised $8 million in series A funding. The round is led by San Francisco-based Alsop Louie Partners and also includes investment from Ross Lewis, owner of the restaurant Chapter One, and Domini and Peaches Kemp, owners of bagel chain Itsa.

Drop makes hardware and software for connected kitchen appliances. The money raised will be used to further develop the firm’s KitchenOS software platform.
