The climb into the cloud is a challenge for SMEs, writes Ross O’Neill
The adoption of cloud and data centre services in the small to medium enterprise space is considerably slower than the take-up in larger corporates. Smaller entities which do not need the level of uptime and resilience that can be provided by a cloud often see the cloud as a more expensive option to the onsite, one or two servers that will be amortised over five to seven years.
