For smaller companies, business analytics might sound like the kind of IT function that’s just out of reach, but increasingly that’s no longer true
While historically big data, business intelligence and data analytics were the preserve of enterprise-sized businesses, today there are a growing number of companies offering such services to SMEs, and, according to industry observers, smaller companies often have the most to gain from using them.
“The market has changed incredibly in the last five years. Prior to that, business analytics was seen as only for bigger companies,” said Gavin Peacock, chief executive of TRC Solutions.
