Gigabit internet: will it make a difference to you?
With many regions still unable to access broadband speeds of more than a few megabits per second, the idea of uncontested internet speeds of up to one gigabit per second may sound too good to be true.
But with two different high speed offerings set to come on stream in the autumn, it seems likely that at least some companies and domestic homes will leapfrog dramatically ahead in the internet speed stakes.
