Although many organisations prepared well for GDPR long before it came into effect, many others seem to have taken a wait-and-see approach. Alex Meehan reports

Ireland’s Data Protection Commission (DPC) received 1,100 data breach notifications and 743 complaints in the first two months after the implementation of General Data Protection Regulation in May, up from an average of 230 reports each month in 2017.
