Data security fears mounting over rising cyber crime risk

Irish businesses are facing a rising threat from cyber crime and data breaches, according to one of the country’s top law firms.

Oisin Tobin, a senior associate at Mason Hayes and Curran, and an expert in technology law, said that given that companies are recording and holding more and more personal data from customers, there is a greater onus on them to properly protect it.
