Spend any time at all reading the Irish tech media and you’ll quickly come across multiple references to data centres and the growing trend for Irish companies to host their applications, data and even infrastructure remotely in a data centre.

But just how big does a company have to be before moving to a data centre starts to make sense? And is that the same thing as moving services to the cloud?
