Wayflyer to cut 200 jobs with 70 roles lost in Dublin

Irish tech unicorn relocating 10 jobs from US to Ireland as it admits it tried to scale too quickly

Wayflyer, which became the sixth Irish tech company to achieve unicorn status earlier this year, has announced 200 redundancies, with 70 layoffs in Ireland.

The fast growing company, which recently announced plans to expand into four new European markets, said it had informed the Government of plans to reduce headcount locally. As part of the move, 10 roles in the US are to be relocated to Ireland.
