Taking the scenic route to the top

Working for the company in various roles in 15 different countries prepared Ericsson’s country manager, John Griffin, for his current job. But with Brexit looming, he is glad to be back

For the 33 years of his working life, John Griffin has only known one employer, but the Ericsson country manager has known a lot of jobs.

When he joined the company in 1986, fresh out of electrical engineering at DIT Kevin Street, the business had its Irish operation in Glasthule in south Dublin. Three years later it moved to its current home in Clonskeagh, although Griffin’s route to his current desk involved a few detours.
