‘People are intrigued about Altada...They are thinking, “who is this company?”’

Allan Beechinor and Niamh Parker hoped for ‘decacorn’ status for their Cork-based AI firm, but it has been beset by difficulties. Now, they tell the Business Post, they are ‘setting the record straight’

The co-chief executives of Altada, the troubled Cork-based AI firm who started the year declaring their expectation that they would reach a value of €1 billion, have claimed that they are the subject of an attempted “hostile takeover” by their lead investor.

In August, the Business Post reported that husband and wife team Allan Beechinor and Niamh Parker had furloughed a number of Altada employees, and admitted that the firm was “at a turning point” ...
