Hospitality tech firm raises $5.5m in seed funding

Shackle, an Irish-founded hospitality tech company, has raised $5.5 million (€5.4 million) in seed funding.

The round was led by Frontline Ventures and also included Guillaume Pousaz, the founder of Checkout.com, Brad Bao, co-founder of Lime, Conrad Whelan, founding engineer at Uber, Li Fan, a former head of engineering at Pinterest, and David Clarke, chief technology officer at Workday.

The business has also been supported by the Offaly local enterprise office.
