Facebook-parent Meta has said it expects to cut almost 500 jobs in Ireland in its latest round of redundancies with losses across a number of teams, including finance, sales, marketing, analytics, operations, and engineering.

The final number of job losses is dependent on a collective consultation process with employees, but Meta Ireland has informed the government of plans to layoff up to 490 people locally.
