Concerns for Irish workforce as Microsoft to cut ‘thousands of jobs’

Tech giant is expected to become latest firm to announce significant layoffs later this week

Microsoft, which employs more than 3,500 people in Ireland, plans to cut jobs in a number of engineering divisions on Wednesday, according to a person familiar with the matter.
