The construction sector is at last welcoming innovation through the work of a clutch of new tech firms in Ireland, and striving to improve its green credentials

Historically risk-averse and slow to embrace new technologies, the construction sector is finally welcoming innovation. A new wave of construction tech-focused companies, many of them created in Ireland, are improving everything from staff training to the design process, to off-site construction, and through to monitoring environmental processes in completed buildings.

Facing increased pressure to reduce global carbon emissions, the industry is also looking to construction tech to help achieve sustainability goals.
