Galway GAA’s treasurer Michael Burke blamed ‘ill-informed quarters’ for perception of Galway GAA

Galway county board treasurer Michael Burke has rounded on the county’s critics, telling a meeting of club delegates last week that there is no “gombeenism” in Galway GAA.

Burke was speaking at a presentation at the Claregalway Hotel where he blamed “ill-informed quarters” for such commentary, which he described as “an insult to all of us around this county”.
