Bacik proposes paid leave for post-abortion complications
Labour TD’s suggested legislation also includes paid leave for early miscarriages and for women undergoing IVF treatment
Women who experience medical complications after an abortion would be entitled to ten days of paid leave under new legislation being proposed by Ivana Bacik.
The measure is contained in a private member’s bill being brought forward by the Labour TD, which the government has so far decided not to oppose. .
