Donegal baker folds millions into sourdough bread play
Launch is part of multimillion revamp at Gallagher’s Bakehouse
Gallagher’s Bakehouse, the Donegal-based business, is undertaking a multimillion euro revamp and launching a new sourdough bread range.
As part of a seven-figure investment the company has made changes to its recipes, product line, packaging, brand identity and bakery facility.
Patrick O’Sullivan, its chief executive, said the bread category had been “objectively” stagnant in recent years, and that the company was hoping to gain an edge on competitors.
