Ufurnish, an Irish co-founded search and comparison website for furniture, has raised £3.4 million (€3.8 million) in seed funding with Dublin-born entrepreneur Rosaleen Blair among the backers.

Blair, who sold Alexander Mann Solutions, the London-based recruiter she founded in a £820 million deal five years ago, is one of a number of well-known women entrepreneurs to back Ufurnish in its latest round.
