See it from a distance, all lit up at night, and you might mistake it for a ship afloat on the ocean. It certainly has the sleek lines of a cruise ship, but it’s a house, a triumph of what can be achieved with the combination of a steel skeleton, block, sand, cement, a good deal of glass – and the eye of a talented architect.
