Chief Executive Officer - The Jack & Jill Children's Foundation

The Jack & Jill Children’s Foundation provides direct funding to families of children up to the age of five who suffer severe intellectual and physical developmental delay, enabling them to purchase home respite care. They also provide end of life care to all children up to the age of five. Jack & Jill was founded by Jonathan Irwin and Mary Ann O’Brien following the birth of their son Jack. Since its inception in 1997 The Jack & Jill Foundation has helped over 2,300 Irish children and their families.


The Board of Jack & Jill now wishes to appoint a new Chief Executive Officer. This is an exciting opportunity to make a key contribution to future success of the Foundation. Candidates will be passionate in championing the needs of the children and families which Jack & Jill supports. This position will be a key senior executive appointment and the successful candidate will be responsible for providing inspirational leadership and strategic vision to the Foundation. They will have overall responsibility for leading the team and the general management of Jack & Jill in accordance with the vision, mission and objectives approved by the Board.

Candidates will need to possess strong commercial and organisational development skills, with a proven track record in effective team management and results driven leadership, through change where necessary. They will have excellent influencing skills, exceptional communication skills and will be an individual who has significant
experience of representing organisations with key internal and external stakeholder groups.

The Chief Executive Officer will lead and direct the organisation, its services and resources, management and team members, to achieve the mission of Jack & Jill, with particular emphasis on the continued delivery of high quality care, service development, financial stability, corporate governance and ensuring that the right operations are in place to drive growth.
