Ballast House on Westmoreland Street: acquired by Union Investment for €27 million

Ballast House, one of Dublin’s best-known buildings, a landmark in James Joyce’s Ulysses, has been acquired by Union Investment, the investment arm of the German DZ Bank Group.

The property vendor was Goodbody Platform ICAV, with a purchase price of around €27 million.

BNP Paribas Real Estate advised on the commercial aspects of the acquisition of the mixed-use property, combining offices and retail units across 2,700 square metres of rental space.
