This month, Christie’s New York is hosting a series of landmark sales offering nearly 1,500 treasures including English and European furniture, European ceramics, Chinese porcelain, silver, European and Asian textiles, Impressionist and Old Master paintings, among others from the Ann and Gordon Getty collection, with the proceeds from the auction benefiting their foundation for the arts.
