Stay patient and realistic as market starts to stabilise

All sections of the Irish housing market slowed down during 2018, but the year ahead looks stable

One of my pet hates is the fact that the property market is treated as a single unit rather than the multi-faceted and complex entity it is.

The constant publicity about house prices being upped 8 per cent or 10 per cent or 12 per cent year on year is naturally greeted with glee by any home owner, who will gladly add 10 per cent to their most optimistic opinion of value.
