Pressure on for first time buyers as limited mortgage lending exceptions expected to reach cap by May

DNG's Q1 report for 2018 shows that house prices in the capital have increased by 1.9 per cent in the first three months of the year compared to 3.3 per cent for the same period last year

Fears that limited mortgage lending exceptions for first time buyers will reach their cap by May this year is putting pressure on first time buyers to secure a property in a rising market. That's according to Keith Lowe, chief executive of real estate agency, DNG, which released its latest data for the Dublin property market today.
