Nature Morte - Flowers on a Table by Roderic O'Conor, €60,000-€90,000

The de Veres Irish Art Auction takes place on March 7 in the Royal College of Physicians

Vive la difference: that’s an apt way to describe works by past and present masters that dominate at de Veres. Leading the sale is a still life by Roderic O’Conor which captures the beauty of everyday objects in the domestic interior to perfection – seldom has a tea table so tempted the senses. Nature Morte – Flowers on a Table was painted in Conor’s Montparnasse studio in 1910, and exhibited shortly afterwards in Salon d’Automne. Measuring 54x65cm, it has an estimate of €60,000-€90,000.
