Magnificent bishop’s palace backdrop to wide and varied sale

Cavan-based auctioneer Victor Mee is hosting a three-day auction of some 1,712 lots set against the backdrop of Kilmore Palace, the magnificent home to more than 16 bishops of Kilmore up to 2000.

This three-storey over basement sets the perfect tone for this wide and varied sale. Some highlights which caught my attention include; lot 5: a cast bronze piece affectionately titled ‘The Apple Tree Boys’, depicting two young boys picking apples (€2,500-€4,500).
