Fine art and furniture from legendary ploughing family

The Nolans are best known for staging the National Ploughing Championships. But coming from a successful building and carpentry family, they know a thing or two about furniture too, and fine art and furniture from their collection will go under the hammer at Mullen’s tomorrow.

Highlights include an Irish Georgian longcase clock signed Sinclair, Dublin (€2,800–€3,200), a 19th-century partners’ desk (€2,200-€2,500) and a William IV rosewood pod table (€2,400-€2,600).
