Commuter counties see spike in house sales

Buyers go further afield to find value as shortage plays out in capital

The latest analysis of the Property Price Register by property website MyHome.ie shows a 5 per cent increase in home sales nationwide and an increase of almost 6 per cent in Dublin in the first three months of this year. There were also notable increases in commuter belt counties, but many western counties recorded falls.
