A range of new tax reliefs has been launched to encourage businesses and home owners back into city centre properties.

Awider than expected range of commercial property refurbishments will qualify for Living City Initiative (LCI) tax incentives announced by the government last Tuesday.

The reliefs will allow developers, investors, leaseholders and owner occupiers to save up to €200,000 in tax on refurbishment and conversion of commercial buildings. This would allow companies to claim tax relief on up to €1.6 million of commercial building work.
