The doyenne of Irish design, has come a long way from her humble beginnings in the creative chaos of 1980s New York
Dubbed “the queen of pattern”, the acclaimed Dublin-born designer Orla Kiely has just relaunched her first book, Pattern, which has gone into a second print edition. She is also the first Irish designer to have an exhibition dedicated to her at the Fashion & Textile Museum in London, which will run from May to September next year and is entitled Orla Kiely: A Life in Pattern.
