The cinema sector may experience the impact of the pandemic for some time to come, but Irish operators should have cause for optimism, according to new research.

Attendees at a webinar aimed at cinema professionals heard that Irish people attend the cinema twice as often as their EU counterparts and 38 per cent of Irish people plan to increase the frequency of their cinema trips once restrictions are fully lifted.
