Work starts on complex logistics of issuing water charges refunds

Irish Water will be able to refund around 200,000 customers who paid their water charges through direct debit almost immediately, once the repayment scheme is finalised.

The government has confirmed some details of the €178 million plan to refund nearly one million households who paid some or all of their Irish Water bills over two years.
