Taoiseach Leo Varadkar has rewarded five TDs who strongly supported his leadership campaign - and sacked two ministers who backed his rival.

In a low-key reshuffle of the ministers of state, the new Taoiseach promoted John Paul Phelan (Local Government), Brendan Griffin (Tourism and Sport), Michael D’Arcy (Financial Services) and Jim Daly (Mental Health and Older People).
