Varadkar: Naughten did O’Brien no favours

Taoiseach Leo Varadkar has said that Minister for Communications Denis Naughten did not do any favours for tycoon Denis O’Brien when updating a lobbyist for INM about his views on its proposed takeover of the rival Celtic Media Group.
Speaking in Dublin yesterday, Varadkar said that Naughten regretted taking the phone call from the lobbyist, because of the controversy that had arisen over it. But he insisted the minister had done nothing wrong.
