The Department of Health has said it is still not in a position to disclose updated costs for the National Children’s Hospital, despite repeated requests for the figures from the Dáil’s spending watchdog.

In a letter to the Public Accounts Committee (PAC), an official at the department said the costs associated with the project are subject to a live contract, and therefore “must remain confidential”.
