An independent TD has criticised the government for permitting the transport of armoured cars to Ukraine via Shannon Airport.

The armoured cars are believed to be Bushmaster Protected Mobility Vehicles which the Australian government has agreed to supply to Ukraine.

They were transported on a Ukrainian Antonov 124 transport aircraft which took off from Australia on May 4 and landed at Shannon Airport on May 7 last.
